Open Door is an organisation helping young to people who are serious about pursuing a career in Acting, Technical Theatre and Production Arts but may need a little help in getting there. Different training programmes are on offer and it is all free.

Old Diorama Arts Centre is seeking participants for their boys-only and older group classes (ages 11 and above). Their dance teacher, Boogie, is an original member of the renowned street dance group, Flawless. The Remix Dance classes will be working on a showcase that will be performed at The Place dance venue.

Free mentoring scheme to get into publishing

The Page One scheme has helped participants get started with a career in publishing. It is intended to work as a stepping stone, to give an idea of what it’s like to work in the publishing industry and advice on the best ways to move forward. This is a flexible, short-term mentoring scheme open to candidates who have a love for books and an interest in the publishing industry.

We regularly host Member Playwrights undertaking Work Experience and professional work placements. There are many types of Work Experience opportunities at Scene & Heard including; costumes, props lighting and sound, front of house, supporting playwriting weekends, and supporting the Scene & Heard team in the office.

Young Ambassador
Age 18+
Older Member Playwrights can become a Young Ambassador for Scene & Heard.
