We are very fortunate that Dame Hilary Mantel was a patron of Scene & Heard for over 6 years. Hilary truly understood the work of our charity, helping to raise our profile, sharing wisdom and insights. Our staff, arts professional volunteers and beneficiaries felt her support in all that we work to achieve, and Hilary is sadly missed.

Family, friends and colleagues of Hilary will gather in London on 20 April 2023 for a memorial event, which will include tributes and readings.

Space at the service has been set aside for well-wishers. Anyone wishing to request a place can apply for a ticket via Eventbrite. We are honoured that her family have asked for in memory donations to be made to Scene & Heard.
