Feet First For Funds: Sponsored Walk Sunday 9th March was a gloriously sunny day and nearly
100 Scene & Heard children, volunteers, supporters
and their friends all participated in a nine-mile sponsored
walk along the River Thames from Greenwich to The Globe
Theatre. The youngest walker was 18 months (OK so he was
in his pushchair) and the oldest somewhat over 60 and
everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The walk will
have raised in excess of £13,000 which well exceeded
our expectations and…. guess what folks? You’ll
have the chance to do it all again next year!
So successful was the event that we have
already selected a date for next year’s walk, Sunday
25th April when we will follow a different and
equally exciting route! Many, many thanks to all those
who walked, all those who sponsored and all those who
sent donations.
