Stage One enables the children to learn basic acting skills during weekly after-school classes. It has been developed in response to the children's requests to join the professional actors on stage. This course does not lead to a production, but consists of 6 weekly classes and a Workshop Day during which each child writes and performs a 5 minute play in partnership with a volunteer. This course is designed to prepare the children for the next step on the Scene & Heard ladder, the One-on-One Course. Scene & Heard currently runs one Stage One course annually.
